Lulu & Minnie

In november we had planned Minnie's last dog show. I cannot say that she will never go to any dog show, but it is not planned in near future for sure.  1. day. 09.11.2024. Judge Hildeward Hoenderken, NL Minnie was such a good pooch! Although it was super clouded and busy in the exhibition hall. She has perfect contact with me.  Judge was quite critical: "11 months old, very ood type, needs better outline & constuction??, nice head, scissor bite, needs better neck, body is still not there, moves loose in front, coat should be better." Result Very Good . There was 2 other junior females there and this judge did not gibe best of junior out, it is not so often you see that.  2. day. 10.11.2024. Minnie first time in junior class at International dog show, 14.09.24, Luige. Judge Gabriela Veiga: "9 m, very mature for age, correct body proportions, correct head and expression, correct ears, eyes, muzzle and bite. Excellent topline, excellent chest and forechest(?) for age. Correct texture of coat for apricot. Excellent presentation for one so young. Moves very well in side movement. Would like better tail carriage in movement." Second time in dog show. Last second and last time in puppy class. 10.08.2024. Judge Zsolt Biro : "8m old, good size, good type of head, slightly short in neck, good topline, good angulation, correct in type, good quality of coat, good movement." We got "very promising" and Best of Breed Puppy. 11.08.2024. Judge Jadranka Mijatovic: "8 m old female, good sized bone, ex. head, well set and carried ears, good topline, could have better tail angul.." We got "very promising" and Best of Breed Puppy. This time we were under extreme weather. Just 1 dog before us started to pour rain. In a shor break of rain we managed to go to our ring. After rain continued. We were sheltering in the car! By the time of BIS rings the arena was flooded and I had to go without the shoes to quite refreshing water (12 degrees outside!), because to enter the show ground you had to go in more than ankle deep waters :). Poor Minnie was quite cold outside.

Minne went to her very first real dog show! It was Ülenurme national dog show, near our home held in two days. All results here  and here . I must admit that I felt like a total amateur, because I felt that i dont know enough about poodles at dog shows. Fortunately we had good groomer from Siimline grooming salon , who not only did a very good job preparing Minnie, but also helped with the hair before the ring! 06.07.2024. On a beautiful Saturday morning we went to Match show organized in Tartu to get a bit of experience in the dog show standing and moving.  Match shows are dog show like events, but the breeds are not important. Also mixed breed are allowed. There are 7 different classes: puppies (4-11 months): small and big separately, grown ups (1-8 years): small and big separately, veterans (over 8 years): small and big separately, and mixed breed class. The competition works in a way that in every class 2 dogs enter in a ring based on their number and the judge is giving them either blue or red ribbon. After all the dogs are judged, all the blue ribbon dogs get into the rings and 4 best is chosen. Same than for red ribbons. The competition ends with a Best In Show ring where winners of all the classes (blue and red ribbons) in  goes together. So you'll have 4 puppies, 4 grown ups, 4 veterans and 2 mixed breed dogs together. And from the 14 dogs 4 best are awarded.  I had no memories of ...

 Lulu went to her last junior class dog hows in 22-23.08.21 We got both day surprisingly Very Good . Balt W , judge Maite Gonzalbo Lorenzo: " 10 month, she needs more time to develop. fem. head, good neck, square body. angul. back bit straight and movemen...? ...back jumping. puppy coat-quality, puppy temper". BaltTer , Maria-Luise Doppelreiter: " nice young girl, nice head, a bit steep in shoulders, in movement rather erratic, needs more training, coat has to improve, sweet character. "  Next time she goes into the dog show ring is in open class, about 2.5 yr old.

 Participated in the 3 day national show very close to home.  Friday, 23.07.2021. Today Lulu turned 10 month old Judge Tiina Taulos . Description: Correct proportions, well pigmented, small ears,chest needs to fill in, straight upper-arm, nice behind, excellent tail, excellent silky coat. EXC 1, BOBJ, JUN SERT , BOB Did not stay to the final competitions. Saturday, 24.07.2021 Judge Luis Gorjao-Henriques. Description: Good type, feminine head, good eyes & ears, good neck, body of good size & proportions, good chest, angul. are OK, typical coat, moves well. Description: Good size & proportions, typical feminine head, correct mouth, correct body, easy movement, coat and presentation must be better prepared for the show . Excellent 1 without certificate.  Yes I must say that Lulu was very confused of all this dog show ring action, because it was the very first time to be in the ring. She even managed to escape from the show leash..but she was so confused that even did not go anywhere so it was easy to put the leash back on :) 10.07.2021 In the morning we were lucky to go under very experienced wheaten groomer who did some fixes. Tegime jälle Orriga proovi näitustel osaleda, kuna näitus siinsamas "kodus" toimus ja Orril on Eestist 1 CACIB puudu.  Kõigepealt sain ma suure ehmatuse osaliseks kui ajakavast nägin, et 12 nisukat on osalemas.  Esimene päev. Kohtunikuks rootslane Hendrik Johansson. Läksime näitusele ilma puurita aga meie pettumiseks pidime ikka küllalt kaua ootama (kuigi olime 2 tõug ja meie ees vaid 4 koera). Tuli välja, et kirjas oli isaste avaklassis peale Orru veel 3 koera + veel 3 tšempionklassi isast + 1 noorteklassi isane. Niiet kõva konkurents.  Juba ootates kuulisime kõva urinat ja kuna Orru ei saanud ka rahulikult puuris olla siis ega polnudki väga suuri ootusi Orru käitumiseks. Ringis meie taga olev noor isane koer urises non-stop Orru peale, sellest läks nahka ka liikumine. Alguses kohtunik vaatas kõikide kõrvade asendit ja siis Orru oli veel ikka suhteliselt lõbus.  Kahjuks kui kohtunik sukeldus Orru habemesse, siis ei pidanud kaua ootama, et üks korralik uri...
