Agility competition, 30.11.2025

Third weekend of agility competition, and third competition in grade 2. This time near Tallinn, judge from Scotland, Dylan Osbourne.

It turned out that the courses were very challenging for us. Already on course walking I had trouble to find handling that I would be confident in.

Video with all the courses are below.

1. jumping course. Started with a long straight line. I break my movement and Minnie made a wrap - that only lost us time. Slalom entry nice. Again somehow I did not go in from in slalom as I planned and we went together to the next jump - so I was late and i made a move with my opposite hand....I guess I was to afraid to push her outside of the jump. That made her not taking the jump (good girl), but then we were in trouble and got a DSQ. Then the "second DSQ" came as I did not call her after 12th jump (I already messed up my plan to blind after 11th). Minnie took the wrong jump. Third DSQ got when after the tunnel (I thought I push her, but then turned away and she followed me).  So we struggled a lot with this course :)

2. jumping course. Again a similar beginning. Could not leave her in the beginning and then long straight line. I tried to go a bit too early, she did not take the tunnel at first. Therefore a was a bit late and "loose" her. But save it. Again very nice slalom entry! DSQ came on the 9th obstacle, when she turned back and took 2x the same jump. I still not really understand why - she jumped in the correct line...and then took a left turn..probably I was too much turned to her and not away..Then I noticed that we are in need of  "go forward" command. She tuned to me after the blue tunnel. The "second DSQ" came from the end, where the first jump was a very good trap, where Minne fell :). Of course I did not handle that at all.

1. agility course. Again the start was with the turned jump and the the see-saw that was not completely on the line. Followed a straight line. So it was quite impossible to arrive in the correct place with babysitting the see-saw. My plan  was to gain a bit of time there but she left from the see-saw immediately. So I knew that Im in a big trouble :). And I was in the beginning of the tunnel when she was already out - tuned to me (no forward command) and took the wrong jump. DSQ. Good salom again from her - and I was too careful at the slalom AGAIN...and I was too late to the 9th jump. I was happy with the dog-walk!

2. agility course. Again straight line in the beginning. Because there was no direct ahaed jump then Minnie was a bit confused where to go. I managed to call her back only costing us time. Nice slalom again! So happy. And we got to the end happily with clean run! It was our 3rd clean agility run sis we got a cert to grade 3. Also 1st place
